At an early age I learned boxing as a way to develop self-confidence and to defend myself. I have been practicing martial arts for over 20 years. I started learning Olympic Style TKD under Master Tim Miller at the Extreme Karate Martial Arts Academy in NJ. In addition to TKD, I was introduced to Muay Thai and BJJ at the academy. Being introduced to various martial arts has made me a well-rounded fighter.
After several years I moved on to an ITF school where I was introduced to a different fighting style by Master Arkadiy Nepomnishy at Taekwondo Elite. After attaining my blackbelt I joined the staff as an assistant instructor where I continued to teach after earning my 3 rd Dan. During my career at Taekwondo Elite I participated in numerous tournaments as both a competitor and coach.
In June 2018 1 joined Global Taekwon-do Center where I earned my 4th Dan under the guidance of Master Tony Skinner 7th Dan. Since joining Global Taekwon-do Center, I have assisted Master Skinner in teaching all aspects of TKD and other self-defense arts to new and advanced students.
TKD has taught me a lot and I enjoy sharing my knowledge and love for TKD by teaching others and watching them progress and advance in rank. I enjoy the positive impact I can have by passing on the skills, knowledge and inspiration martial arts has given to me. I get a sense of pride and humility I see students grow into happier, healthier and more confident children, teens and adults.
